Protective Services
A Case Worker at the State Department of Human Services receives a call from a neighbor reporting suspected child abuse. She immediately begins an investigation. Quickly determining the possibility of a substance abuse issue she decides to get a drug screen.
The solution: Having already been supplied with pre coded referral forms, and a list of nearby Span collection sites, she gives the client the form and orders him to go to the closest facility and give a urine specimen.
The Outcome: Within twenty-four to forty-eight hours the Case Worker receives a fax copy of the drug screen result from Span. She then uses the result to aid in her discovery and to support her recommendations to the court.
